I started Wilks Marketing after realizing I wanted to build a business I could run from anywhere. I had previously started a landscaping business, but after dealing with some health issues, I knew I needed to build something that wasn't dependent on me physically being on a jobsite every day.
Marketing and technology had always come naturally to me, and I had spent years around contractors from working for small landscaping companies to growing up around family in the trades. I kept noticing the same thing: these guys were great at what they did, but many struggled to turn the internet into a reliable way to grow their business.
That's where I saw an opportunity.
Today, I work directly with contractors to build websites, improve their presence on Google, and create another way for potential customers to discover their business beyond word of mouth.

I've been around contractors for most of my life, and one thing I've always appreciated is how straightforward they are. I'm the same way. I don't like the salesman bullshit, and neither do most of the contractors I work with.
